2. Purpose and scope of data processing

a) Visiting the website

When you visit this website, technically required data (e.g. shortened IP address, date and time of the request, page accessed, referrer, browser type) are processed to ensure secure operation of the site. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in stable, secure operation).

b) Contact enquiries

If you contact us by e-mail or via other channels, we process the data you provide (in particular name, organisation, position, e-mail, phone, and the information you provide on your initiative) solely to handle your enquiry. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent).

c) No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making in the sense of Art. 22 GDPR takes place. Your enquiry is professionally assessed by a human.

3. Data recipients

Your data is shared with third parties only where necessary to handle your enquiry (e.g. within the JPS-iQ Solutions Group with the relevant sister unit), where you have explicitly consented, or where there is a legal obligation. Data processing agreements under Art. 28 GDPR are in place with our processors (e.g. hosting, e-mail).

4. Storage period

We store your data only as long as required for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted after no more than 24 months unless retention obligations apply.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

To exercise your rights, an informal message to welcome@jps-iq.com is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.

6. SSL encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by "https://" in your browser's address bar.

7. Cookies and consent

This website uses only technically necessary storage access. For non-essential processing — in particular the analytics described under section 8 — a consent banner is displayed on first visit. Only after your explicit consent ("Agree") will the relevant scripts be loaded. Without consent, no Google Analytics data is collected.

We store your decision locally in your browser (localStorage) for 12 months so the banner is not displayed at every visit. You can revoke your consent at any time by clearing the browser storage for this site or by writing to welcome@jps-iq.com.

8. Web analytics with Google Analytics 4

This website uses — only after your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG — the web analytics service Google Analytics 4 (GA4) by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

The data processed includes technical information (e.g. anonymised IP address, browser, device and OS type, approximate location at city/region level), pages visited, dwell time and interactions. IP anonymisation is enabled; the IP address is shortened before any storage.

The purpose is the statistical evaluation of website usage to improve our offering. Data is processed in Google accounts; transfer to third countries (notably the USA) may take place. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR are in place. Measurement ID for this site: G-9B9Q9684FE.

Storage period: typically up to 14 months for event-related data. You can object to data collection at any time via the "Google Analytics Opt-Out" browser add-on, or revoke your consent through the cookie banner.

9. External fonts and content

This site embeds external fonts (Google Fonts) and possibly other resources to provide a consistent, fast-loading appearance. When loaded, your IP address is transmitted to the respective provider. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

10. Changes to this privacy notice

We update this privacy notice when changes in the legal framework or our processing activities make this necessary. The current version is always available on this page.
